We can provide quick, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to virtually all commonly occurring structural faults including failed lintels, bulging or bowed walls, or separated walls. The BIRS team use Helefix remedial products including BowTies and DryFix to leave a structure visually unaltered but fully stabilised.

A Helifix BowTie is a long, stainless steel tie ued to stabilise bowing walls, without any external plates, by securing them into the ends of internal floor joists. Basic BowTie installation (see image below) involves driving one end of a self-tapping helical tie through the wall and into the end on joist to a minimum depth of 75mm.

DryFix is a slim, versatile, and rapidly installed mechanical pinning and remedial tying system that requires no resin, grout, or mechanical expansion. It can be used in all standard cavity, masonry veneer, and multi-leaf masonry construction and ties may be installed into dry-pressed brick, extruded brick, block, aircrete, concrete, strong mortar, timber, stone, hollow materials, and close to edges. DryFix ties are designed to shed water and provide strong, reliable axial restraint in both tension and compression (see image below).
